
Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) 2024


The Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) honors the exceptional contributions of Filipino women in the field of rural education. Through FLORA, Multinational Foundation, Inc. (MFI) strives to highlight the importance of practical and innovative methods for delivering quality education to rural communities. MFI has designated The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) Foundation as the search and organizing committee for the FLORA Award.
The FLORA Award is given in memory of Erlinda K. Ilusorio, mother of Ramon K. Ilusorio, Founder of MIB Capital Corporation, benefactor of Multinational Foundation, Inc. and a staunch advocate for countryside development and rural education.
For 2024, MFI recognized women educators who have developed outstanding innovative projects aimed at fostering critical citizenship among Filipino youth through rural education.
The 2024 FLORA Award ceremony held on 23 May 2025 celebrated four distinguished honorees. They are Dr. Mary Hazel B. Ballena of Bucay, Abra; Ms. Ervie Ann Consigna Conte of Barangay Anajawan, Surigao del Norte; Ms. Marife Matic Mustacisa-Lacaba of Catbalogan, Samar; and Ms. Ma. Ruby Cordero Primero of the Municipality of Mina, Iloilo.
These remarkable women exemplified leadership, resilience, and deep commitment to educating the youth and uplifting their communities.
